G.I. BLUES is a small charity, initially set up as a
voluntary group in November 2005 to help people
affected by "pseudo".

We became a registered charity in February 2006.
Our aims are to help people by providing support and non-medical
advice, by giving information, advice and guidance to
people affected by pseudo & pseudo-type conditions, by
increasing public and professional awareness and
by providing a framework for social support.

As previously stated the Gastro Intestinal Blues Charitable Trust was initially a small voluntary group, started by a young girl with BIG ideas. Rosie Cornell nee Herbert, suffered for years with agonising and debilitating symptoms, with no real answers as to why. It was only after an astonishing 8 years that she got a definitive diagnosis. At this time Rosie was seriously ill, and immediately admitted to hospital, her family were dumbfounded and stunned by her diagnosis. With no one to turn to for support and only horror stories to relate to, at the tender age of fourteen, Rosie decided she did not want this for other newely diagnosed patients and their families. Determined to make a difference, Rosie wanted to create a community for others who have been affected by the condition in some way or another, be it the patient themseleves or their loved ones.

It soon became apparent that, although only a small number of people knowingly suffered from the condition nationally, that there were a substantial amount of people with similiar symptoms worldwide looking for advice and support.

Slowly this community grew and Rosies support webiste www.support4pseudo.co.uk was recieving hits from all over the world. It was then that it became obvious to the family that they needed to do more, and so the GI Blues Charitable Trust was born.

Today we continue to support families from all over the country, we get hits and queries from all over the world. We hold social gatherings and support, infomation and awareness days and fantastic fund raising events.

Raising awareness of this life changing, debilitating condition is crucial for the wellbeing of suffers and their families.
